Nick Carvello

Nick earned his bachelor’s degree in business from UMass Amherst in 2019 and began his career in the finance department at Marriott, where he developed a strong foundation in operations, financial management, and project coordination.
Since joining DRT in 2021, Nick has become a central force in the firm’s day-to-day operations. He leads project scheduling, billing, and overall workflow management, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, strategically, and with a high level of organization.
In addition to his operational leadership, Nick plays a key role in guiding projects through the permitting and approval process. He works closely with clients and city agencies, managing submissions and maintaining communication to keep projects moving forward. His ability to navigate regulatory requirements while aligning project timelines and expectations is essential to the firm’s success in complex approval environments.
Nick plays a critical role in aligning the firm’s design efforts with both operational execution and external coordination. Known as the backbone of the office, he brings structure, clarity, and discipline that supports the entire studio and keeps projects moving forward.
