Darya Belavuava
design lead
Darya began her architectural journey with a Bachelor of Architecture from the Belarusian National Technical University and continued her studies at the Boston Architectural College, where she further developed her design and technical expertise.
Since joining DRT in 2017, Darya has grown into the role of Lead Designer, becoming a central force behind the firm’s design direction and project delivery. She leads projects from early concept through construction, ensuring each design is both thoughtfully resolved and executed with precision.
Her global background informs a nuanced design perspective, allowing her to approach each project with creativity, adaptability, and a strong understanding of context. Darya’s ability to translate ideas into clear, buildable solutions plays a key role in delivering cohesive and well-crafted projects across the firm’s portfolio.
As a mentor, Darya is a cornerstone of the studio culture. She works closely with emerging designers, guiding them through both design thinking and technical development, helping to elevate both individual growth and the overall quality of the firm’s work.
